Solo piano (2018)
Stone Study no.3 ‘Black Honey’ was largely inspired by Alan Garner’s essay Flint – part of the BBC Radio 3 series Cornerstones. A very compact miniature for piano solo, the music is an altogether condensed response to Garner’s similarly compacted but typically expansive and all-encompassing essay.
