‘Shared Freedom – Shared Future’ was conceived by students at Whitecross Hereford to illustrate to young people their common history with Polish immigrants, in particular the stories of local post-WW2 Polish settlers to the area, who fought with Britain in the war.
I was commissioned to write the music for the short film at the centre of this poignant project through Rural Media, which received its first screening on 10th July. The film will be used to help awareness of our debt to poles, and will hopefully lead to better understanding and cooperation between people of different nationalities within our community.
An exhibition will be up at the Courtyard Theatre, Hereford soon.
A trailer for the film can be seen here (N.B. The trailer does not feature the music I wrote for the project).
